Welcome Fabulous June + My Makeup Runway Africa Feature

Welcome Fabulous June + My Makeup Runway Africa Feature

Hello my darlings; welcome to the fabulous June! June is my most loved month of the year and I’m sure you guessed why… June is my birth month! Yay!!! Having a moonwalk in my mind at the moment 😀

Long time no hear right? Well I was off the grid for a while but I’m back now and I have some fun things planned for y’all. While I was away, I exhibited two (2) creative makeup looks at the Makeup Runway Africa which held two (2) months ago… stale, I know! #FacePalm

I had a male model and decided to create “Gangs clash in the hood” look on him and this is what we came up with:

I created my version of Cat woman on my second model and we got this:

Which of the 2 looks above do you prefer? Would you rock any of these looks? 😀 😛

I had to walk the runway with my models at the end of the exhibition and thankfully my sweet supporters made a video of our walk and shared them with me.Enjoy these 2 short video clips:

I would love to appreciate the organizers of the show (The MakeUp Fair Series) for such a beautiful platform for creatives to show their talents. I got a lovely “goody bag” with some beautiful products which I’ll be reviewing in a bit.

I exhibited alongside these wonderful artists:

I know I promised to do some reviews which I will be posted ASAP but I would also love to know what you’d like to read from me. Are there tips/techniques you’d like to learn more about? Let me know your thoughts and lets create fun together!

Similoluwa’s Transformation

Similoluwa’s Transformation (The Transformation Series)

Hello beautiful people 🙂 I hope the year has been great so far? I know this is coming a bit late but better late than never 😀 HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’ve been meaning to put up posts ever since but I kept having recurrent issues with my website so posts had to be delayed. As a matter of fact, I’m on my way to meet with my website designer, just thought to drop some stuff in here first.

So I started a little project called “The Transformation Series”. It’s basically a series of “Before Meets After” looks. I even made short videos for the project so look out for it 😉 So, there has been a lot of controversy recently about showing the before and after pictures of a woman. A lady even said she felt it was very rude. My take is… if the subject doesn’t mind having her ‘before meets after’ picture posted then all is well and good. Not everyone allows it, I personally think it’s fun and I put up one for myself a few years back ( I should do another soon 😀 ) What is your take on the “before Meets After” concept? So back to Simi…

Here’s Simi’s before….

We have to cover a lot of spots and I achieved this using the Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation with the Milani Cosmetics Cover Creme Concealer. She told me she liked blue so I decided to add some blue glitter to her eyes and we created a gorgeous look.

Also, we decided to try a different gele style, not every day bridal gele 😀

It was a fun shoot and she was ecstatic about her look (of course that made be blush a lot 😀 ). I hope you enjoyed the post? Please check out my youtube channel ( still scanty but I’ll put up more videos with time) and subscribe too.

Thanks for stopping by, please drop your comments.

Beautiful Dark Skin Makeup (Products Listed)

Beautiful Dark Skin Makeup (Products Listed)

I have always loved rich black skin; it is just so gorgeous and attractive. Sharon’s skin is not an exception. If you need a literal description of “Black Is Beautiful”, then you gotta meet Sharon! She’s just TOO Gorgeous! I swooned over her skin colour even before we started the shoot, I’m sure you can see why. Here’s her before picture:

I once met a lady with equally gorgeous dark skin and I gave her my call card just in case she needed a makeup artist. She told me she had had bad experiences in he past because some MUAs found it challenging getting her foundation shade right and this discouraged her. I’ve heard other dark people complain too. Please don’t be discouraged one bit! You are blessed with magnificent skin, cherish it! Just ensure you get the right person to handle your makeup. I am based in Lagos Nigeria but I’m open to travelling, just buzz and I’ll hook your dark skin up perfectly 😉

Back to Sharon’s shoot….

After a lovely meal of white rice and ‘no nonsense” stew 😀 we began our session. It was a fun session for both of us and when it was over, we both LOVED her look! She was so excited about it she couldn’t wait to flaunt her look to the world. That was her first time getting professional makeup done and she loved every bit of it.

I hope you also like the look we created? Well, Sharon liked her look so much she even blew a kiss 😀 :*

I had this session a while back and I can not really remember all the products I used but I’ll make a list of the ones I can remember. Hopefully, I’ll put up a more detailed post soon.

Products:

  1. Dermablend Cover Creme
  2. Maybelline Clear Smooth All-In-One Powder
  3. Mac Studio Fix Powder
  4. BH Cosmetics Automatic Brow Pencil
  5. Tara Eyeshadow Palette (Margaret Ekpo)
  6. Eye Kandy Glitter
  7. Glazzi Eyeshadow Palette
  8. BM Pro Blushes
  9. Zaron Lip pencils
  10. Red Cherry Lashes
  11. Zaron face Definer
  12. L’oreal Mascara
  13. Victoria’s Secret Lip Gloss

That’s all I can remember and that’s a pretty long list already. I styled her hair a little just to compliment the overall look. What do you think? What is your best part of Sharon’s look? I look forward to hearing from you 🙂

Merry Christmas; Christmas Inspired Look.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Yay!!! It’s that favourite holiday of the year. I’m especially glad about Christmas because it is the one time I get to spend with my family without anyone being away in school or some holiday. Beyond the festivities and all, I’d like to remind us again that the reason for this celebration is Our Lord Jesus.

God loved so much that He sent Jesus to be the propitiation for our sins. We have hope for eternity because Jesus came. Just in case you haven’t accepted Jesus into your heart and you would love to experience the love of God on a whole new dimension, just close your eyes and say these words: “Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God. I believe you died for my sins and God raised you from the dead by His mighty power, I invite you to be the Lord of my life now and forever in Jesus name, Amen.” That’s it! You have been saved! Praise God! Keep studying the bible so you may grow thereby, God bless you!

In the spirit of Christmas, I created a Christmas inspired look a few weeks back… I just played around with some Christmas colours and here’s what I came up with:

DSC_0947

DSC_0925

Yep, I had to add some glitter! No Christmas without glitter! 😀 Would you even dare to rock this look?  Where would you rock this look to? I’d really like to know.

I hope you all had a beautiful celebration, happy new year in advance! Here’s a little Christmas joke someone sent to me, enjoy!

“I was invited to a church to watch a Christmas play about how Jesus was born. And when Mary with tears in her eyes went to inform Joseph that she was pregnant, Joseph exclaimed “Jesus!!!”
