Hello fam 🙂 this is my very first product review and I’m excited to get started so here goes…
I love makeup, colors and getting to apply makeup on people is one of the most fulfilling activities I do. I was mega excited when I got some products from Sleek Studio for review; in this post I’ll be reviewing the Sleek Studio Flash a Pout lip colors.

These lip colors come in 6 gorgeous shades (click on images for clearer view) and I’ll be showing swatches of all the shades. Sit back and enjoy 😉

Packaging

As you can see in the picture above, they come in a very sleek package (pun intended 😀 ) Sleek Studio also introduced a revolutionary packaging as the actual container of the lip color has a miniature mirror and a LED light on it. This means you can apply your makeup on the go at any time and anywhere irrespective of the lighting condition. The tube is transparent, what you see is what you get. It is also quite compact and can fit into your pocket; this is a plus as you can carry it around effortlessly. The applicator wand is soft and makes application enjoyable.

Product

These lip colors are VERY pigmented and matte! They dry fast and they feel so weightless on the lips. If you wear any of these shades you would actually forget you have lip color on and that is a very big plus. I wore this lip color in Siren to an event last weekend and I shone like a star in the sky 😀  6 hours after applying it, it was still very bright and gorgeous on me and it only went out after I bathed and wiped my lips. It has a silky feel on the lips and I’m sure any groom would love to kiss ‘em off his bride’s lips 😉

Since these lip colors are very matte, it is advisable to moisturize your lips before using them. To get a little bit of shine on your lips, you can top up with the Sleek Studio “Glowshine” which also comes in different shades.

Shades

Revolution 101 – this is a very intense orange color. This definitely evokes a style revolution, not for the faint hearted!

Siren 102 – this is a gorgeous red. Like its name implies, you will definitely be noticed any time you wear this.

Naivety 103 – this is a deep and strong pink shade, almost electric. Naivety will surely birth the diva in you.

Duke 104 – this is a dark purple (plum) shade. When you see a lady rocking Duke, you must address her as Duchess; for she is fearless and daring!

Coined 105 – this is a beautiful nude shade for the “innocent good girl” in you 😉

Forbidden 106 – this shade is in oxblood. It reminds me of the movie “The Devil Wears Prada”; it screams class and power!

The picture below shows a friend wearing the lip color in forbidden.

Advantages:

  • Long  lasting
  • Great packaging
  • Very pigmented
  • Weightless
  • Silky; feels great on the lips

Disadvantages:

  • Very matte (that is a very good thing for me though) hence it doesn’t necessarily add moisture to the lips; always moisturize your lips before applying.

These lip colors are a MUST-HAVE for every lady and you will definitely get 1 or more shades that will resonate with whatever personality you wish to project.

Thanks for stopping by, please share with your friends. I would love to read your comments, which of these shades would you love to have? More reviews to come, stay tuned to this space!

xoxo,

The Craftress.
